British Rapper She’yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, professionally known as 21 Savage was flown home today after he was released from immigration detention center in Georgia, USA.

21 Savage was held for 10 days after America officials found out he is a UK citizen who was unlawfully living in America.

The hip pop star and his mother, Heather Joseph, were seen in a happy mood together as they were about to board a private jet to Atlanta, where he will be reunited with his family after his final release on Wednesday morning.

He was granted a $100,000 bond during a closed hearing in an Atlanta Immigration Court Tuesday.

He is pleased with the outcome and his family is elated, of course, that he is returning home after days of stress and uncertainty,” said Tia Smith, one of his immigration attorneys. 

21 Savage’s deportation case is still pending in Atlanta and may not be resolved for a couple of years”, his attorneys said.

The 26-year-old recording artist was arrested on February 3 after officials discovered that the British citizen has overstayed his visa and has an October 2014 felony conviction in Fulton County.

His lawyers have said the rapper was brought to the U.S. when he was seven and his legal status expired in 2006.

His birth certificate records, shows he was born on October 22, 1992, at Newham Hospital, in east London, to British parents, Heather Joseph and Kevin Emmons. He lived in the UK for 12 years before moving to Atlanta, Georgia United States of America.
